Description

In an era of decoupling energy consumption from GDP and stagnant load growth in the developed world, growth opportunities will be driven by emerging rather than conventional technologies. In this webinar we will explore two such opportunities, one each in the electricity and fuel segments:
  • Continued reduction in levelized cost of electricity and diversifiying geographic composition will drive growth of Solar PV at 8.3% over the next five years. New investment vehicles such as yieldcos will significantly lower the cost of capital for firms like SunEdison and First Solar, thereby giving them a competitive edge.
  • Rising LNG infrastructure investments, supply of shale gas, and diversification of LNG applications will transform this once local resource into a global commodity and thereby lead to a global price convergence. EPC firms such as Fluor will capitalize on the growth in North America.
