Kristin Marshall is a Senior Research Associate at Lux and contributes to the Accelerating Materials Innovation team's coverage of bio-based materials and chemicals. In this role she evaluates technologies related to the production of bio-based polymers and bio-based intermediate chemicals and identifies market trends encouraging their adoption. Kristin also contributes to Lux's coverage on the circular economy and the skin microbiome.
Kristin holds a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University, where she worked on characterizing weakly viscoelastic solutions for applications such as inkjet printing and turbulent drag flow reduction. She also holds a B.A. in Economics from New York University with a minor in Environmental Studies.
