Patricia is a Research Associate at Lux, and contributes to the energy team's coverage of next generation power; focusing on photovoltaic and wind energy technologies, as well as concentrated solar power (CSP) and marine energy. In this role, she advises various energy players —such as energy utilities, oil and gas providers, materials and chemicals suppliers or research institutions— on innovative technologies and trends that are worth exploring, and provides an overview of companies leading the space.
Prior to joining Lux, Patricia worked at the DSM's Material Science Centre; where she conducted research on next-generation photovoltaic materials. During this time, she contributed to the creation of a combined simulation tool for evaluating the electrical, optical and thermal characteristics of silicon solar cells.
Patricia holds a M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Technology from TU Delft (the Netherlands), and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
