Patricia Seoane da Silva

Senior Research Associate
Owning the Energy Transition

Patricia is a Senior Research Associate at Lux, and contributes to the energy team's coverage of next generation power; focusing on photovoltaic and wind energy technologies, as well as concentrated solar power (CSP) and marine energy. In this role, she advises various energy players —such as energy utilities, oil and gas providers, materials and chemicals suppliers, or research institutions— on innovative technologies and trends that are worth exploring, and provides an overview of companies leading the space. Additionally, Patricia has conducted research on technologies that enable the integration of renewables within the power grid, as well as novel applications of renewable electricity (e.g., production of green hydrogen).

Prior to joining Lux, Patricia worked at the DSM's Material Science Centre; where she conducted research on next-generation photovoltaic materials. During this time, she contributed to the creation of a combined simulation tool for evaluating the electrical, optical, and thermal characteristics of silicon solar cells.

Patricia holds an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Technology from TU Delft (the Netherlands), and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
