AR head-up displays (HUDs) provide intelligence to the driver's surroundings

May 24, 2018 | Case Study

WayRay’s Element provides drivers with an interactive learning experience while driving. At CES 2017, WayRay debuted a holographic AR infotainment system for self-driving cars featured in the Oasis concept car built by Swiss car manufacturer Rinspeed.

In Oasis, the driver receives route information like social events and local sights while navigating to a requested location. For instance, a driver can be alerted if a specific route will pass by a social event where traffic is likely. Passengers can also receive social media updates and interesting location alerts.
