Koppert Biological Systems is a leader in integrated pest management (IPM) products and solutions, but, as is the case with nearly every other industry, digital transformation provides significant opportunity to expand its client base, improve efficacy, and reduce technology pain points. IPM is a systems approach to crop protection, often ecologically based, combining a range of practices (with chemicals as the last line of defense), and is reliant on monitoring of pests and their natural enemies for success. Koppert's recent efforts toward digital transformation include semiautomated dispersal of live products both indoors (Natutec Drive) and outdoors (Natutec Drone) as well as smartphone enhancement of card-based insect monitoring (Natutec Scout).
