Sony pairs Fast Field Analyzer software and a multispectral camera with drone developers as its Smart Agriculture Solution

April 15, 2020 | Case Study

Following several years of testing with Syngenta, among others, and the establishment of industry partnerships, Sony outlines its Smart Agriculture Solution (SAS) through a series of webinars. Service partners include Drones Made Easy (DME), Rantizo, and BirdsEyeView (long-range drones). The solution addresses three challenges: speed of data processing, intuitive analysis, and time to action. The solution leverages Sony's multispectral camera system, including a low-power GNSS sensor and real-time light compensation ($3,500) and Fast Field Analyzer (FFA) software ($1,000 to $2,000 annually dependent on scale). The solution utilizes Android and PC systems and is compatible with a range of drone platforms.
