Verdigris integrates advanced building monitoring and energy storage to achieve electricity cost savings

September 08, 2020 | Case Study

Managing flexible loads in buildings helps reduce peak demand charges, which translates to lower electricity bills. With the rise of distributed generation and storage assets, building energy management becomes more complex, but at the same time, there's added flexibility and value-add opportunities to optimize energy flows behind the meter (BTM). In 2018, Verdigris, developer of nonintrusive load monitoring (NILM) and analytics for building energy management, and S&P Global partnered on a proof of concept to assess the impact of integrating BTM stationary storage in the building energy management and optimization process.
