The past five years has seen impressive momentum in the realm of electric and autonomous vehicles, and many have looked to expand capabilities to help build the future of urban air mobility. Flying cars, air taxis, and eVTOLs have become synonymous with one another, and the race to develop these clean urban mobility vehicles has everyone from startups to major OEMs considering opportunities within the space. American automaker GM is no exception, as the company's CEO has said it is considering options to engage in the air taxi market. The company is looking to leverage its experience developing electric vehicles and battery systems and is on record saying that it is considering both partnership and solo development.
