FoodLogiQ helps Independent Purchasing Cooperative, a Subway franchisee-owned company, expedite product recalls

Starting in 2013, the Independent Purchasing Cooperative (IPC), which is responsible for supplying 43,000 Subway restaurants globally, sought end-to-end traceability to optimize operations and improve food safety. As a first major step, it worked with its supplier base to comply with GS1 Standards for product information (e.g., country of origin). IPC estimates that this alone has enabled $1.3 million in annual cost avoidance. More recently, IPC has adopted the FoodLogiQ Connect platform to warehouse product information, extract insights, and help facilitate recalls if necessary.
