U.K-based Oxis Energy has mainly focused on the development of solid-state Li-sulfur batteries. In 2020, when we interviewed the company, it claimed that it was able to achieve 400 Wh/kg in cells that provided 60 cycles and 220 Wh/kg in cells that could achieve 1,400 cycles. In its quest to achieve improved metrics over incumbent Li-ion technologies, Oxis Energy has now entered administration.
