Farmers Business Network's Gradable platform establishes carbon market with simple choices

Gradable, launched in 2020, is a platform that provides scoring, sourcing, and pricing of low-carbon grain. It is a subsidiary of Farmers Business Network (FBN) focused on sustainability value capture in agriculture. In February of 2021, the company unveiled Gradable Carbon. The program allows farmers to apply no-till, reduced tillage, cover cropping, diversified crop rotations, or reduced nitrogen use practices to generate carbon assets for sale on voluntary markets. The platform also claims to take a farmer-first approach by offering optionality – that is, offering a window of years in which to sell carbon assets. Gradable likely has access to FBN's 21,000 farmer members.
