AXA and Microsoft partner to build an integrated digital healthcare platform that aims to be a single-entry point across the patient journey

January 20, 2022 | Case Study

AXA is a French multinational insurer focused on multiple insurance products, including health insurance, which accounts for 13% of its overall revenue. AXA is continually looking to expand its healthcare insurance business through strategic partnerships. It has made significant progress in this regard in Asia. For example, in Singapore, AXA partnered with Doctor Anywhere, leveraging the latter’s inclusion in the Ministry of Health's regulatory sandbox for integrated telehealth services. In China, AXA partnered with health insurtech player QingSong to provide an integrated set of digital health services ranging from telehealth to insurance services. AXA’s goal was to address the fragmented healthcare system in Asia by developing a single entry point across the entire patient journey and thereby improving the patient experience when it came to accessing the entire gamut of healthcare services on one platform.
