Vence is developing a virtual electric fence and rotational-grazing management system for beef and dairy cattle. The fence system includes animal collars that sound when cattle are near a virtual border and applies electric stimulation to the animal if it continues beyond the boundaries. The system is set up and managed by cattle farmers via a smartphone application. The platform ultimately enables easier and more efficient rotational grazing that aligns with regenerative agriculture initiatives. The company serves 25 farms across the U.S. and Australia and intends to quadruple its footprint to 40,000 devices deployed by the end of 2022.
