In addition to the 11 consumer-facing brands that joined the New Plastics Economy this year, newer signees include brand owners SC Johnson, Nestlé, and Kellogg's, as well as the waste management company Veolia. Given the recent scrutiny surrounding plastic waste and the historic difficulties commercializing sustainable materials, clients should view partnerships throughout the packaging value chain as instrumental in fulfilling these sustainable materials initiatives.
