Wingcopter provides drone services like mapping and delivery with its own hybrid fixed-wing/multirotor drones. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its delivery operations, focusing in the near term on the delivery of healthcare goods like COVID-19 vaccines. Wingcopter joins many drone companies that are focusing on healthcare and dabbling in other types of deliveries. While most are not substantially differentiated from each other, the important factor for clients to monitor is geography coverage. Wingcopter has generally focused on European deployments, with projects in Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Germany, and Norway; expect it to continue catering to that target geography.
