The ability to deliver on wellness, health, and safety by designing successful behavior change interventions is seeing an all-time high demand. Digital tools hold the promise of delivering scalable, personalized, and timely behavior change interventions, but most have yet to showcase effectiveness. Yet, some interventions designed to align with behavior science are likely to deliver. Using stress management as a case study, we found that no single commercially available solution today optimizes for all factors required for one to take on a new, healthy behavior. Looking ahead, failure to deliver on promises of wellness, health, and safety will go beyond impacting dedicated behavior change companies; to bridge gaps between marketing and delivery, clients should look to venture outside creating "well" products; they will also need to design for "well" behaviors.
