Lux Research introduced the Lux Innovation Cluster Map in 2018, a methodology for understanding how a particular innovation cluster supports the development and commercialization of innovative technologies. The 10-metric fingerprint parses a cluster's technology and services and groups clusters based on similar qualities. In the 2021 update, the Lux Research team scanned the global ecosystem for the most promising innovation clusters focusing on nurturing early stage technologies and supporting more mature startups on the cusp of commercialization.
