Are Biostimulants Overpromised and Underdelivered?​

Given the recent rise in fertilizer prices and supply chain issues, the alternative crop nutrition space has emerged as a hot spot for innovation. Reducing fertilizers without sacrificing yield is needed to support food security. Biostimulants, along with biofertilizers, are an emerging crop input pillar that supports nutrient availability, uptake or use efficiency, and abiotic stress resistance. In this report, we identified the leading strategies to succeed with biostimulants and microbial biofertilizers by evaluating active players in the space and analyzing technology impact and company momentum.
