CO₂ Electrolysis
Decomposition of CO₂ into chemicals using electricity.
LUX TAKE:
While potentially highly disruptive, electrolysis of CO2 is currently too expensive for commercial viability unless a very cheap source of electricity is available and high carbon taxes are enforced on the chemicals industry. Until then, the technology will remain confined to niche demonstration projects.
