Description

The thermal envelope – the connected patchwork of windows, walls, roofs, and foundation that regulates the heat flows into and out of a building – is a key component in the design of energy-efficient buildings. In fact, the two building systems with the greatest energy footprints – namely the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system and the lighting, which together account for more than 50% of overall building energy demand – are critically impacted by the thermal envelope. Moreover, the creation of pleasant living and working environments, infused with daylight and fresh air and regulated at a comfortable temperature, is impossible without an intelligently designed, robustly constructed thermal envelope. This webinar will address:
  • The key technologies emerging in the thermal envelope
  • The market opportunity for dynamic (smart) windows and advanced building insulation materials
  • The trends across different geographies and building types
