Webinar: Regional Opportunities For Innovation in Food System Traceability and Transparency

By 2050, 10 billion people will inhabit the planet, over two billion more people will enter the middle class, and two-thirds of the world’s population will live in urban areas. From this megatrend, complex challenges arise around food availability, quality, and waste, especially as innovations towards shortening food supply chains advance. With COVID-19 accelerating innovation around the food supply chain, ties between changing social dynamics and evolving needs present regional opportunities for technologies addressing traceability and transparency. We identify the regional links between social drivers and the unmet needs of an evolving food value chain and identify innovations in the traceability of goods that create market opportunity.
