Webinar: Biofuels Outlook in an Era of Low Oil Prices
May 13, 2015
Description
With the crash in oil prices over the last 12 months, the attractiveness of biofuels has taken a significant hit. Questions surround the economic feasibility of various commercializing technologies and investors are less brash in funneling money into the space. However, with companies such as Neste Oil and Diamond Green Diesel experiencing commercial success with renewable diesel, and cellulosic ethanol producers such as Beta Renewables and POET-DSM ramping up large scale projects, we see promising signs in the potential to compete with low oil prices in the near-term.
As we continue to scour the biofuels space for emerging technologies, we will:
Identify early-stage, novel processes with potential long-term success
Look back in history to see how strategic investments and partnerships the last time oil price plummeted have paid off
Detail long-term plays that are likely to pay off in the future
