Webinar: The Coming Battery Revolution: How Improving Batteries Will Enable Entirely New Products and Applications

April 5, 2016

Presented by:

Cosmin Laslau, Ph.D.
Director, Research Products

Description

The modern electrochemical battery was invented over two hundred years ago, and has dramatically influenced our daily lives through its various chemistries, form factors, and critical applications. While improvements across the board have been notable, the coming battery revolution will push the boundaries of what was previously technologically and economically unviable to open up new products and industries for electrification. The coming wave of electrification, will go beyond electric vehicles and stationary storage, as new products will outperform by being better, cheaper, and more sustainable. This webinar will:
  • Discuss growth opportunities outside of vehicles and stationary storage, from the smallest implantable devices to the world’s largest ships
  • Analyze industry case studies where batteries can yield dramatic improvements, and define threshold metrics for benchmarking
  • Look into the life cycle sustainability of batteries and new electrified products, including the growing challenge and opportunity for battery reuse and recycling
